• Benzydamine is a member of the indazole class with benzyl and 3-(dimethylamino)propyl groups in positions 1 and 3 respectively.
• The action of benzydamine on local inflammation phenomena is manifested by a reduction in vascular permeability; a decrease in edema and exudative reactions; and finally a sedation of inflammatory pain.
