Fosinopril is an angiotensin converting enzyme inhibitor.
White crystalline powder.
It is hydrolyzed to its active metabolite which specifically and competitively inhibits angiotensin converting enzyme, thereby decreasing the formation of angiotensin II, resulting in decreased vasopressor activity.
