API

N° CAS 1197-18-8

Antihemorrhagics

  • Tranexamic acid develops an antihemorrhagic action by inhibiting the fibrinolytic activities of plasmin.
  • White or Almost white crystalline powder.
  • It blocks the binding of the lysine residue of fibrin by plasmin, the enzyme responsible for fibrinolysis. The normal action of plasmin to dissolve the clot is thus blocked.
