• Almotriptan malate is the malate salt of almotriptan which is a triptan medication used for the treatment of severe migraines.
• White or very pale yellow crystal powder.
• It has a high and specific affinity for the serotonin receptor. Binding of the drug to the receptor results in vasoconstriction of the cranial blood vessels and thus affects blood flow redistribution.
