- Amiloride Hydrochloride is the hydrochloride salt of amiloride, a synthetic pyrazine derivative with antikaliuretic and diuretic properties.

- It acts by increasing ionic excretion of sodium as well as decreasing excretion of potassium and hydrogen ions in the presence or absence of aldosterone, which is suggestive of a direct action on the tubule.
