Muscle relaxants

• Baclofen is a muscle relaxant that acts on the spinal cord.
• White or slightly pale reddish yellow crystalline powder.
• Baclofen activates GABAB receptors. In doing so, it shares some of its side effects with the drug GHB which acts by the same mechanism but baclofen does not have a marked affinity for the GHB-R receptor.
