• Cefpodoxime proxetil is a third-generation semi-synthetic cephalosporin and a beta-lactam antibiotic with bactericidal activity.
• White or Almost white crystalline powder.
• It binds to and inactivates penicillin-binding proteins located on the inner membrane of the bacterial cell wall. This leads to weakening of the bacterial cell wall and causes cell lysis.
