• Cyclobenzaprine hydrochloride is a centrally acting muscle relaxant with antidepressant activity.
• White or Almost white crystalline powder.
• It acts primarily at the level of the brain stem to reduce tonic somatic motor activity, by influencing gamma and alpha motor neurons. This leads to a reduction in muscle spasms.
