• Granisetron hydrochloride is the hydrochloride salt form of granisteron, a 5HT3 antagonist used to prevent nausea and vomiting caused by cancer chemotherapy and radiation therapy.
• White or Almost white crystalline powder.
• It is an antagonist of serotonin 5HT3 receptors, which are involved in the emetic reflex phenomena following cytotoxic treatments.
