• Cicletanin is a dihydropyridine derivative with diuretic and antihypertensive activity.
• It has thiazide-like diuretic activity. In addition, this agent inhibits protein kinase C and is able to reverse vasoconstriction through inhibition of PKC-mediated Na/K-ATPase phosphorylation.
