• Magnesium citrate is a preparation of magnesium in salt form with citric acid.
• White or Almost white crystalline powder.
• It works by drawing water through the tissues by a process known as osmosis. Once in the intestine, it can draw enough water in to cause defecation. The extra water stimulates intestinal motility.
