• Cloxacillin sodium is the sodium salt of cloxacillin, a beta-lactamase-resistant semi-synthetic penicillin antibiotic.
• White crystal powder.
• It binds to and inactivates penicillin-binding proteins located on the inner membrane of the bacterial cell wall. This leads to a disruption of the bacterial cell wall and causes lysis of the bacterial cell.
