• Decitabine is a deoxynucleotide cytidine analog.
• White or Almost white crystalline powder.
• It inhibits DNA methyltransferases, resulting in hypomethylation of the gene promoter which may result in reactivation of tumor suppressor genes, induction of cell differentiation, or cell senescence followed by programmed cell death.
