• Betahistine dimesilate is the dimesilate salt form of betahistine.
• White or Almost white crystalline powder.
• It interacts with several histamine receptors, at the vascular and cerebral level as well as at the labyrinthine level, with, as a consequence, an increase of the flow at the level of the vestibule and the cochlea and a decrease of the sensitivity of the former.
