Vasoprotectives

• Diosmin increases the resistance of the vessels, decreases their permeability and causes vasoconstriction.
• Greyish-yellow or light yellow, hygroscopic powder. Pratically insoluble in water, soluble in dimethyl sulfoxide, pratically insoluble in ethanol (96%). Il dissolves in dilute solution of alkali hydroxides.
• It increases the parietal tonicity of the veins, thus improving venous hemodynamics, correcting capillary permeability disorders and strengthening capillary resistance.
