• Dorzolamide is a potent inhibitor of carbonic anhydrase II.
• White or almost white crystalline powder.
• It reduces elevated intraocular pressure, whether or not associated with glaucoma. It does not cause pupillary constriction and reduces intraocular pressure without side effects such as night blindness and accommodation spasms.
