Antifungals for dermatological use

• Econazole is an antifungal agent of the imidazole family.
• Crystalline powder white or almost white. Very slightly soluble in water.
• It will inhibit 14-alpha demethylase which is responsible for the transformation of lanosterol into ergosterol. Which represents 30% of the plasma membrane and ensures the growth, fluidity and integrity of the membrane.
