• Erythromycin ethylsuccinate is an ethylsuccinate salt of erythromycin and a derivative of erythromycin.
• White or very pale yellow crystal powder.
• It diffuses across the bacterial cell membrane and reversibly binds to the 50S subunit of the bacterial ribosome. This prevents bacterial protein synthesis.
