• Felodipine is a medication of the calcium channel blocker type which is used to treat high blood pressure.
• White or pale yellow crystalline powder
• It inhibits at very low concentrations, by an action at the level of the slow calcium channel, the intracellular penetration of calcium in the smooth muscle cell. By this mechanism, it plays an electrophysiological and mechanical role leading to a decrease in arterial tone.
