• Gemcitabine hydrochloride is a salt of gemcitabine, which has significant cytotoxic activity on various murine and tumor cells.
• White or Almost white crystalline powder.
• It is an antimetabolic agent specific to the S phase of the cell cycle, the DNA synthesis phase. Under certain circumstances, it blocks cell progression beyond the G1/S phase.
