• Ketoprofen is a member of the class of propionic acid derivatives, a subdivision of non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs with additional analgesic and antipyretic effects.
• White or almost white, crystalline powder. Pratically insoluble in water, freely soluble in acetone, in ethanol (96%) and in methylene chloride.
• It acts by inhibiting the production of prostaglandins in the body.
