Anti-inflammatory and antirheumatic products - Analgesics
- Ibuprofen lysinate is the lysinate salt form of ibuprofen, a propionic acid derivate and nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug with anti-inflammatory, analgesic, and antipyretic effects.
- It is a non-selective inhibitor of prostaglandin synthase, also called cyclooxygenase. This enzyme catalyzes the first step in the synthesis of inflammatory mediators. It thus limits the activation of this pathway by a mechanism of inhibition of the two families of cyclooxygenase.
