• Mebendazole is an antihelminthic of the benzimidazole class.
• White or very pale yellow crystal powder.
• It works by selectively inhibiting the synthesis of microtubules via binding to colchicine binding site of ?-tubulin, thereby blocking polymerisation of tubulin dimers in intestinal cells of parasites.
