Vitamine D3 (Cholécalciférol)
API
N° CAS 67-97-0
Vitamins
- Vitamin D3 allows the reinforcement of the immune system and increases the capacity of fixing calcium to maintain a good bone density.
- White to almoste white crystalline powder. Pratically insoluble in water, freely soluble in ethanol (96%), soluble in trimethyl pentane and in fatty oil.
- Cholecalciferol is inactive. It is converted to its active form by two hydroxylations: the first in the liver to form 25-hydroxycholecalciferol. The second hydroxylation occurs mainly in the kidney to convert 25-OH vitamin D 3 into 1,25-dihydroxycholecalciferol.
